1. Getting Started - top

1.a. What is Jhocy?

Jhocy is an image hosting and sharing web site that allows users to upload and share their images. Images can be uploaded to a public album or to the users personal album.

1.b. How do I join Jhocy?

In order to join Jhocy, you will need to sign up for an account. To do this lick the register link at the top of the Jhocy web site. This will take you to the page for register. Fill in the correct information and press submit. After this you will recieve a mail to the e-mail address you entered on the registration page. You will need to click the link in this mail in order to activate your account.

1.c. How do I create a personal album?

You can create your personal album from the Albums link at the top of the Jhocy web site. Your default album will have the same as your username. It is possible to create subalbums to the default album. The subalbums can be named by the user.

2.a. How do I change my account settings?

You can manage the settings of your account from the account settings link. It can be found in the account drop down list at the top right. Here you can change your password or other information concerning you and your account.

2.b. What I do if I can't login to my account?

First, ensure your username and password are correct. Make sure that both the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys are turned off on your keyboard when you enter your password, because passwords are case sensitive. If the problem persists, reset your password, and attempt to log into the account again.

2.c. What I do if I forgot my password?

First, ensure your username and password are correct. If you lost your password, you can get a new one, click the I forgot my password link at the login page. Fill in the fields with the correct information and press submit, a mail will be sent with a new password to the email associated to your account. To activate the new password, click the link in the mail.

3.d. What I do if my password reset link expired?

If you don't click the password reset link in your mail, within 24 hours after you recieved it, it will expire. If this happen to you, you can request a new email by doing same procedure again. Click the I forgot my password link at the login page. Fill in the fields with the correct information and press submit.

3. Upload Images - top

3.a. What content is allowed?

Any content that does not violate the Terms of Use Agreement is allowed. Prohibited content, such as offensive or pornographic images, will be deleted without notice.

3.b. How do I upload images?

You can either upload images to a public album or to your personal album. To upload to a public album, click the upload images link at the top menu. If you want to upload diretly to a specific album you need to go to the album and use the upload link there. If you want to upload images to your personal album you can to it from the manage album link in the account drop down at the top right of the page. Note that you need to have a Jhocy account and be logged in to it in order to upload images.

3.c. Why is the uploaded image is smaller than the original?

The image you uploaded may have been resized. The maximum size for images we allow is 780px for width and height. Any larger images will be resized automatically, this means any possible animation will be lost. When displaying the image on the image page it will show the size of 580px. Click on the image and it will show the full size.

3.d. How do I report content that violates the terms of use?

Send a mail to us from the contact us page. Make sure the subject is violations - abuse and include the URL of the page where the content can be found.

4.a. What is HTML Code?

Use this to post the image on websites or blogs such as MySpace, Hi5, Blogger, eBay, Friendster and more. The image will be displayed in full size.

4.b. What is HTML Thumbnail Code?

Use this to post the image on websites or blogs such as MySpace, Hi5, Blogger, eBay, Friendster and more. The image will be displayed as a thumbnail.

4.c. What is IMG Code?

Use this to post the image on bulletin boards and forums. This will only work for boards/forums that allows the [img] code. The image will be displayed in full size.

4.d. What is Quickpost?

This widget is a quick and easy way to post the image on websites or blogs such as Facebook, MySpace, Hi5, Blogger, eBay and more. The image will show at a different size depending of which website it is posted to.

5.a. What browsers is supported?

Jhocy is developed and tested to work for the following web browsers: Firefox 2.0 or later, Internet Explorer 7.0 or later, Safari 2.0 or later, Chrome. Note that the functionality and features of the Jhocy website may work with other browsers, but Jhocy cannot guarantee the functionality of the Jhocy website on those browsers.
